She attended and a graduated from Fertile High School, followed by attending the University of Minnesota and earning a Bachelors degree in speech pathology. She spent 12 years working for the Minneapolis school district as a speech pathologist and during that time married her college sweetheart Robert. Later she went on to import European antiques until she retired.
Sharon had many interests. In college, Sharon assistant taught ball room dancing and made sure her children knew how to dance as well. Sharon also loved to read novels and write and would create limericks and poems which she often included in her many letters to friends and family. Sharon also had passion for antiques she shared with her husband. What started as date night window shopping, turned into a second career in European antiques as she took her strong eye for decorating and design and her love of travel and applied it to a second career in furniture in her St. Paul antique shop. Sharon was dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured both her children, Megan and Chad, and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being Nana to her 8 grand children.
